Captive bred cheetah release a success

The release of two captive bred male cheetahs close to an airforce base is proving to be a successful combination for all concerned. The males are bonded and will hunt together. The purpose of the release close to an airstrip is an innovative idea to keep other small animals from causing problems for planes landing and taking off. The cheetahs will naturally predate small animals keeping it clear and safe from potential accidents. What a wonderful idea it is, again proving how much we can gain from working with animals not against them. It also proves that captive bred cheetahs are quite capable of learning to hunt for themselves so gives much hope for plans to release more into the wild to bolster the number of this very vulnerable species.
